About Us

The Francis DeGaulle Njie Foundation is a charitable organisation registered under the Company’s Act of the Laws of The Gambia.

The Foundation was initially setup by the family of the late DeGaulle, as he was fondly referred to by friends and associates, in commemoration of the values of excellence and dedication to service that he stood for throughout his short but very exemplary life.

Aims & Objectives

The aims of the Foundation are twofold:
1) To enhance the education system in the Gambia by providing financial support to science students.

2) To raise cancer awareness and provide support and health promotion to affected individuals and their families.
